Bengaluru, India (Urban Transport News): The Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) on 12th April 2021 opened the financial bids of contract invited for the construction of a new metro depot at Anjanapura in Reach-4B line of Bangalore Metro Rail Project, Phase-2. A total of 8 firms were submitted their bids for the construction of the depot.
As per financial bid results, Bengaluru-based BSR Infratech India Pvt. Ltd emerged as the lowest bidder among the other 7 bidders. Their financial positions are as under:
The new depot which is proposed at Anjanapura Depot on Kanakapura Road will initially feed metro trains for the 30 km Green Line of Bangalore Metro Rail project.
Tender for this package was invited in October 2020 with ab estimated cost of Rs 69.29 crores by the BMRCL. Technical bids were opened on 9th January 2021. The scope of work includes design and construction of metro rail depot structures, site development works, internal roads & drainage work in depot area at Anjanapura in Reach-4B line of Bangalore Metro Rail Project (Phase-2). The contractor has to complete the work in 20 months.
