New Delhi, India (Urban Transport News): The National High Speed Rail Corporation Ltd (NHSRCL) on October 5, 2021, has opened technical bids of civil contract package C-5 of Mumbai-Ahmedabad High Speed Rail Corridor. A total of three bidders/consortia have submitted their bids for the construction of the 8.198 km section of this project.
The scope of work under contract package C-5 includes design and construction of Civil and Buildings Works including Testing and Commissioning on Design-Build Lump Sum Price Basis for Double Line High Speed Railway involving Vadodara Station, Confirmation Car Base, Viaducts & Bridges, Crossing Bridges and Associated works between MAHSR Km. 393.700 and MAHSR Km. 401.898 in the State of Gujarat for the Project for Construction of Mumbai-Ahmedabad High Speed Rail Corridor.

The 508.17 km Mumbai-Ahmedabad High Speed Rail Corridor will connect Mumbai (in Maharashtra) to Ahmedabad (in Gujarat) with 12 Bullet Train stations. Construction of this corridor will be completed in 8 major civil contract packages.
