Texmaco Rail bags ₹6,450 crore order from Indian Railways for supply of 20,067 wagons

New Delhi, India (Urban Transport News): Indian Railways has recently awarded a procurement contract worth Rs 6,450 crores to Texmaco Rail & Engineering Ltd for the supply of 20,067 wagons. IR has issued the order against the recent Railway tender for the procurement of 90,000 wagons.

According to the order, Texmaco Rail & Engineering Ltd has to supply the 20,067 wagons to Indian Railways over a period of thirty-nine months. The shares of the company rose 2.94% to Rs 47.20 after the company confirmed that it has received an order worth Rs 6,450 crore from Indian Railways for delivering 20,067 wagons.

The company's board will consider Q4 results on 20 May 2022. On a consolidated basis, the net profit of Texmaco Rail & Engineering Ltd declined 91.46% to Rs 1.63 crore on a 2.65% rise in net sales to Rs 470.47 crore in Q3 December 2021 over Q3 December 2020.

The current market capitalisation of Texmaco Rail & Engineering Ltd stands at Rs 1,522.44 crore.
