New Delhi, India (Urban Transport News): The Government of India has entrusted the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) with the task of developing, operating, and maintaining a ropeway between Kathgodam to Hanumangarhi in District Nainital, Uttarakhand, on a Hybrid Annuity Mode basis. The project, aimed at enhancing connectivity in the region, will be executed under the design, build, operate, and transfer (DBOT Annuity or Hybrid Annuity) framework. The key details of the project are as follows:
Interested parties can access the complete bid document on the e-procurement portal of NHAI from March 15, 2024, to May 2, 2024, until 11:00 Hrs. IST. Bids must be submitted online within the registration validity period with NHAI's e-Tendering Portal, managed by the National Informatics Centre (NIC), by May 2, 2024, up to 11:00 hours IST. The technical submissions of the received bids will be opened on May 3, 2024, at 11:30 hours IST.
It is imperative to note that bids submitted through any other mode will not be entertained. However, certain documents such as Bid Security, Original Power of Attorney, Joint Bidding Agreement for Consortium (if applicable), Integrity Pact, and experience certificates apostilled at foreign origin (if applicable), must be submitted physically in original by the Lowest Bidder before the issuance of the Letter of Award (LOA) by the Authority.
Once operational, this Ropeway project will be World's largest Ropeway project.
