New Delhi, India (Urban Transport News): The National Capital Region Transport Corporation (NCRTC) has awarded a contract worth Rs 167.5 crores to Germany's STRABAG International GmbH for providing the underground tunnel ventilation system (TVS) and environmental control system (ECS) services for Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut RRTS project.
The scope work includes Design, Detail Engineering, Supply, Installation, Testing and Commissioning of ECS, TVS, Electrical, ECS-E and M BMS, TVS BMS and TVS SCADA OCC/BCC Systems of 4 Under Ground Stations including Ventilation Buildings on 82.15 km under construction Delhi-Meerut RRTS corridor. The contractor has to complete the work in 1550 days.
Tender for the above work was invited in July 2020 (under Package 23) with an estimated cost of Rs 250 crore (US$33.83 million). Technical bids were opened on 23rd October 2020 and financial bids were opened on 15th January 2021. A total of four firms viz. ETA Engineering, Blue Star Ltd, STRABAG International and Voltas Ltd.
STRABAG International GmbH is a subsidiary company of STRABAG Group which is engaged in the business of Transportation Infrastructures (roads, railways, airports and test tracks for the automobile industry), Building Construction (turnkey construction, industrial facilities) and Civil Engineering (bridges, dams, hydraulic asphalt engineering, tunnelling, pipe jacking and micro-tunnelling, cooling towers and harbour facilities).
