Six bidders submit bids for construction of first stretch of Surat Metro Rail project

Ahmedabad, India (Urban Transport News): The Gujarat Metro Rail Corporation Limited (GMRC) on 28th September 2020 revaeled that they have received six bids from the major conscrution firms  for the construction of 11.6 km section of Surat Metro Rail Project.

GMRC opened technical bids of contract package CS-01 on 28th Septmber 2020. The following six firms have submitted thier bids in the tendering process:

  1. Larsen & Toubro Limited
  2. NCC Limited
  3. Dilip Buildcon – Evrascon JV
  4. HCC – KEC JV
  5. J Kumar – Ranjit Buildcon JV
  6. Sadbhav – SP Singla JV

The tender notice for the contract package CS-01 was issued on 1st June 2020 by GMRC with the estimated value of work Rs 805.356 crore.

The scope of work includes design and construction of 11.6 km elevated viaduct from Kadarsha Ni Nal to Dream City Dead End Including Ramp for Depot entry near Dream City and 10 Stations (Excl. E&M, Architectural Finishing and Roofing) for Surat Metro Rail Project Phase – 1.

This section is part of 21.61 km long Corridor-I of Surat Metro Rail Project (Phase I). Tenders for constrcution of underground stretch of this line were already issued under contract package CS-02 & CS-03 and the last date for submition of bids is extended to 12th October 2020.

On 2nd Septmebr 2020, GMRC unvealed the names of six bidders who have submiitted their bids for providing general consultancy (GC) services for 40.35 km Phase 1 of Surat Metro Rail project. The name of those six bidders are as under:-

  1. DB Engineering & Consulting GmbH - AYESA - Korea Rail - DOHWA JV
  2. Geodata Engineering S.p.A.  - LBG - Hill International JV
  3. MM S.p.A - Mott Macdonald - SMEC JV
  4. Nippon Koei India - RITES - TPF JV
  5. Rodic Consultants - Artelia - Italffer - TYPSA JV
  6. SYSTRA - AECOM - EGIS JV
