Pandrol Rahee wins Track Fastening Contract of Mumbai Metro Line 6

Mumbai, India (Urban Transport News): The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation Limited (DMRC) on March 12, 2021, opened the financial bids of the contract invited for the supply of ballastless track fastening systems for Line-6 (Swami Samarth Nagar - Vikhroli) of the Mumbai Metro Rail Project. 

According to the financial bid results, Hyderabad-based firm Pandrol Rahee Technologies  Pvt. Ltd. emerged as the lowest bidder after beating the Patil Rail Infrastructure Pvt. Ltd. The financial bids position of both bidders are as under:-

  • Pandrol Rahee Technologies: Rs 29.84 Crores (L1)
  • Patil Rail Infrastructure: Rs 31.25 Crores (L2)

Tender for supply of ballastless track fastening systems for Mumbai Metro Line-6 was invited in October 2020 with an estimated cost of work Rs 29.82 crores by DMRC. Technical bids were opened in January 2021 to reveal the names of bidders. Only two bidders have submitted their bids.

The scope of work includes the Supply of Fastening Systems for the Execution of Ballast less Track in the Line 6 Corridor from Swami Samarth Nagar to Vikhroli of the Mumbai Metro Rail Project.

Earlier in March 2019, Pandrol Rahee Technology had been awarded a contract worth Rs 17.73 crores for the supply of ballastless track fastening systems for Line 2A of the Mumbai Metro Rail Project.

As the firm has quoted below rate than DMRC's estimate, there is too much chance to get a letter of acceptance (LoA) soon.
