New Delhi, India (Urban Transport News): The Government of India has appointed Shri Manoj Joshi, a 1989-batch IAS officer from Kerala cadre as new Secretary of Ministry of Housing & Urban Affairs (MoHUA). Shri Joshi took charge as new Secretary from Shri Durga Shankar Mishra who has repatriated to his parents Cadre on December 29, 2021.
Prior to his posting in Ministry of Housing & Urban Affairs, Joshi was working as Special Secreatry in Ministry of Food Processing Industris.
Earlier Joshi was Joint Secretary at Department of Economic Affairs since December 2013. Mr. Joshi serves as Managing Director of Kerala State Industrial Development Corporation, Ltd. He serves as Chairman of The Travancore Cochin Chemicals Ltd. He served as Chairman of Nitta Gelatin India Ltd. from March 2009 until July 17, 2009. He served as Chairman of Bamni Proteins Ltd., until July 17, 2009.
He serves as a Director of Kerala State Industrial Development Corporation, Ltd. Mr. Joshi served as a Director of Geojit BNP Paribas Financial Services Limited from January 23, 2009, to July 20, 2009. He served as a Director of Western India Plywoods Ltd.
In an official order, the Personnel Ministry said that Mishra who is a 1984-batch IAS officer of the Uttar Pradesh cadre due to superannuate on December 31, 2021, is being repatriated to his parent cadre.
The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved his repatriation “for his proposed appointment as Chief Secretary, Uttar Pradesh by the State Government of Uttar Pradesh”, the order said.
