CMRS inspects four stations of Nagpur Metro Rail project

Nashik, India (Urban Transport News): The Commissioner of Metro Railway Safety (CMRS), Janak Kumar Garg along with his team today carried out an inspection of the remaining metro stations of the Orange Line and Aqua Line route of Nagpur Metro Rail project.

CMRS inspected Dharampeth College under Rich 3 of Aqua Line and Congress Nagar, Chhatrapati Chowk and Ujjwal Nagar metro stations under Rich 1 of Orange line. Garg inspected the various facilities available at all four metro stations as expressed his satisfaction.

During the inspection, the CMRS team checked AFC gate, emergency call point, emergency stop plunger of platform premises, elevators and escalators, facilities provided for passengers in the station premises such as toiletries, drinking water arrangements, baby care rooms, special facilities for the disabled, notice and information board etc. Apart from this, the CMRS officers examined the signaling equipment room, telecom equipment room, transformer, station control room, hot standby working electrical equipment and various security-related rules through the demonstrations.

Ujjain Nagar (800.00), Chhatrapati Chowk (1256.00), Congress Nagar (7100.00) of Orange Line Road, Dharampeth College (5824.03) of Aqua Line has been built in the metro station area. Arrangements for arrival/departure have been made from both sides of the station (North and South). The ground level, concourse level and platform such three-storey, second floor, concourse level, timber counter and station control room have been prepared.

Dharampeth College Metro Station: The Dharampeth College metro station of North Ambajhari Marg is built on the 'Aqua Theme'. The Hingna route is crowded all the time and the MDC campus is used to travel here and there in a big way. Apart from this, the school near the metro station will prove to be suitable for college students! Due to the presence of many prestigious government and administrative offices, IT parks, temples, halls in the station premises, citizens remain in this complex.

Congress Nagar Metro Station: Congress Nagar Metro Station is connected to Ajni Railway Station so that passengers traveling by Indian Railways will be able to travel by Metro as soon as they land at Ajni Railway Station! Maha Metro has connected the metro station with platform No.1 of Ajni railway station so that the citizens will be able to easily reach the metro station premises and travel further! It is noteworthy that a large number of citizens from Ajni railway station use this railway station to go to other premises of the country. Railway passengers will definitely benefit from this metro station! In addition, the school near the metro station will be suitable for college students!

Chhatrapati Chowk Metro Station: Chhatrapati Nagar Chowk remains a major hub for commuters coming and going from outside villages. Pillar construction of Metro Rail started in place of Chhatrapati Nagar flyover in the ongoing phase of work of Nagpur Metro Rail Project. From Chhatrapati Nagar Chowk to Pratap Nagar, the old Ring Road Structure joins the T-Point of Ring Road Junction Metro Station. People living in colonies stated both sides of the station will be beneficiated.

Ujjwal Nagar Metro Station: Ujjwal Nagar metro station is also a major center for outbound travelers from Chhatrapati Nagar Chowk. Citizens located in Manish Nagar, Besa, Beltarodi will benefit from this campus from the metro station. Also, a large number of employees are working in a company based in Mihan, as soon as the station opens, more and more citizens will get the benefit of the metro.
