YFC Group bags civil contract worth Rs 726 crore for Delhi Metro Phase IV

New Delhi, India (Urban Transport News): Gurgaon based major Indian infrastructure firm, YFC Group emerged as the lowest bidder (L1) for the fourth civil construction package of the Delhi Metro Phase IV project. The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has opened the price bids of the contract package DC-04 of Delhi MRTS Phase IV today. Total of six contractors viz. YFC Projects Private Limited, KEC International-Longian JV, Larsen and Toubro Limited (L&T Construction), PNC-SIL JV, NCC Limited and Tata Projects-CHEC JV participated in the contract package DC-04 of Phase IV of Delhi Metro Rail Project whereas Larsen and Toubro Limited, KEC International-Longian JV, NCC Limited, Tata Projects-CHEC JV, and NCC Limited emerged as L2, L3, L4, and L5 respectively. However, PNC-SIL JV found disqualified during technical evaluation. The total value of the contract is Rs 726.08 crores as quoted by YFC Group.

Scope of Work

Part Design and Construction of Integrated structure consisting of Elevated Viaduct and 6 Lane flyover (Double Deck system), Viaduct and Elevated Ramps for viaduct and flyover, Siding lines, Under Pass at Saket G, Elevated Ramps from BRT corridor to flyover and two-lane underpass from MB road to BRT corridor and Four Elevated Stations viz. Sangam Vihar, Khanpur, Ambedkar Nagar and Saket G (Excluding Architectural Finishing works of stations and PEB works of stations) from Chainage 14480.00 m to 18760.00 m of Aero City to Tuglakabad Corridor of Delhi Metro Phase-IV project. The tender was floated in August and the estimated value of work was Rs 716.20 crores. The technical bid was opened on October 1, 2019.

YFC Group has been into the infrastructure business for over 40 Years, has executed key projects in various states including – Haryana, Punjab, Delhi (NCR), Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Odhisa, Jharkhand and Meghalaya. Earlier, the YFC Group had worked in Phase II & III of Delhi Metro Rail Contracts viz. CC-86R, CC-94, CC-127 and CC-129.

Project details

This contract involves the construction of Metro viaduct from Sangam Vihar to Saket - G including four elevated Metro stations - Sangam Vihar, Khanpur-Devali, Ambedkar Nagar and Saket-G. The highlight of this section will be a double-decker viaduct which will include the Metro viaduct as well as an elevated six-lane flyover from Sangam Vihar to Ambedkar Nagar. After this stretch, the Mehrauli Badarpur Road will be signal free from Sangam Vihar to Saket.
