Mumbai, India (Urban Transport News): The Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) invites online tenders from the reputed firms for the supply of telecommunications system for the upcoming Corridor 4 (Wadala - Kasarvadavali - Gaimukh) of the Mumbai Metro Rail project.
Design, Manufacture, Supply, Installation, Testing, and Commissioning of the Telecommunication system for Main Lines and Depot of Line 4 and extension corridor (Wadala - Kasarvadavali - Gaimukh) of Mumbai Metro Rail Project of MMRDA
Line 4 of the Mumbai Metro Rail project will expand 32.32 km from Wadala to Kasarvadavali with 32 stations. It shall provide interconnectivity among the existing Eastern Express Roadway, Central Railway, Mumbai Monorail, the ongoing Metro Line 2B (DN Nagar to Mandale), and the proposed Metro Line 5 (Thane - Kalyan), Metro Line 6 (Swami Samarth Nagar - Vikhroli) & Metro Line 8 (Wadala - General Post Office).
Recently, MMRDA has awarded Rolling Stock contract (MRS2) for Line 4 & Line 4A to M/s Bombardier Transportation, India & M/s Bombardier Transportation, GmbH on 4th March 2021 for manufacturing & supply of 234 cars (39 trains).
