Chandigarh, India (Urban Transport News): The Haryana Rail Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (HRIDC) on Monday online invited bids for the selection of General Consultant for 121.74 km proposed Haryana Orbital Rail Corridor (HORC) from Palwal to Sonipat via Sohna, Manesar and Kharkhoda in the State of Haryana.
The objective of the consulting services is to provide General Consultancy Services for the successful planning, basic & detailed designs, preparation of specifications, preparation of proposal documents and tender assistance, checking designs, project management and supervision including construction supervision, safety, quality and environmental management, interface management, testing and commissioning of the Haryana Orbital Rail Corridor (HORC). The planning shall include the O&M phase as well.
The Haryana Government has applied for financing Rs 5,566 crore from the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) towards the cost of the Haryana Orbital Rail Corridor Project and intends to apply part of the proceeds for the consulting services. The project is being implemented by HRIDC which is established by the Ministry of Railways, and Govt. of Haryana. The consultant will be selected in accordance with the Quality-Cost Based Selection (QCBS) method set out in the Procurement Instructions for Recipients.
Expression of Interest (EOI) must be uploaded by the bidders online through the E-procurement portal of the Government of Haryana not later than 15:00 hrs on 17 August 2020.
The 121.74 km long Orbital Rail Corridor will have 17 stations including 14 new stations and three existing stations, 23 major waterway bridges, 195 minor waterway bridges, three rail flyovers, two road-over bridges, and 153 road-under bridge. The total cost of the project is estimated at Rs Rs 5,566 crore and the project completion deadline set to 2023.
