Lucknow, India (Urban Transport News): Technica Y Projectos, S.A. – Italferr S.P.A JV today emerged as the lowest bidder for providing the General Consultancy (GC) services for the execution of Phase 1 of Kanpur and Agra Metro Rail projects in Uttar Pradesh. The Uttar Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation Limited (UPMRC) today opened the financial bids of the bidders who participated in the contract. Only two bidders have submitted their bids and found technically qualified. As per data revealed by the UPMRC, the position of financial bids of each bidder is as under:-
As per the terms of the tender, the bidders were selected through Quality cum Cost Based Selection (QCBS) process and the technical score received by each bidder (out of 8000 points) is as under:
While finalizing the contract 80% weights were given for their technical proposals and 20% for their financial proposals. And after combining the technical scores and financial bids weightage of the both bidders, Technica Y Projectos, S.A. – Italferr S.P.A JV has been declared as the lowest winner of the contract. The UPMRC will issue the letter of acceptance (LoA) to Technica Y Projectos, S.A. – Italferr S.P.A JV in 7-15 days.
UPMRC had invited request for proposals (RfP) (Contract UPMRC/KNPAGGC-01) for the provision of general consultancy services for the both Kanpur and Agra Metro Rail projects on 12 December 2019. Technical bids were opened on 13 March 2020. As per the tender notification issued by UPMRC, the aims of this contract is to obtain General Consultancy services for planning, design, procurement, project execution, testing and commissioning of the Kanpur & Agra Metro Rail Projects. The Consultants will also plan, proof checks the design, and also support in construction supervision and contract management of Depot and OCC wherever so desired by UPMRC. Supervision and contract management of the civil construction of elevated stations and viaducts will be the responsibility of UPMRC. GC shall however be responsible for safety, quality and environmental compliances for all the elevated structures.
