This partnership aims to propel advancements in sustainable, high-speed transportation solutions within India.
Swisspod Technologies and TuTr Hyperloop, both at the forefront of Hyperloop technology, are poised to revolutionize transportation infrastructure in India. The MoU signing ceremony, held at the Swiss Residence in New Delhi, witnessed the presence of distinguished guests, with Ms. Jaya Varma Sinha, Chair and CEO of the Railway Board, gracing the occasion as the chief guest.
A panel discussion ensued during the event, focusing on the role of Hyperloop in building the future of transportation. CEO of Swisspod, Mr. Denis Tudor, and Founder Director & CTO of TuTr, Mr. Aravind S Bharadwaj, articulated their vision for the commercialization of Hyperloop technology in India, particularly emphasizing collaboration with key industries such as steel and construction.
This strategic partnership not only underscores the commitment to innovation but also aligns with India's initiatives to attract foreign direct investment (FDI). The collaboration is set to facilitate the implementation of the recently concluded Trade and Economic Partnership Agreement (TEPA), with a specific emphasis on fostering investment from EFTA countries, with Switzerland being India’s largest trading partner.
Swisspod Technologies, an EPFL spinoff established in 2019 by Hyperloop veterans, is headquartered in Monthey, Switzerland, with offices in Miami Beach, Florida. The company, founded by multiple award winners of the SpaceX Hyperloop Competition, Denis Tudor (CEO) and Cyril Dénéréaz (CTO), boasts a proficient management team equipped with sharp business acumen and technical expertise.
TuTr Hyperloop, a deep-tech startup operating from the National Centre for Combustion Research and Development (NCCRD), IIT Madras, emerged in 2022 to commercialize Hyperloop technologies. With a mission to provide fast, reliable, and eco-friendly transportation solutions, TuTr leverages its partnership with IIT Madras and its proximity to India’s largest deep tech ecosystem to drive the development of cost-effective Hyperloop technologies.
In conclusion, the collaboration between Swisspod Technologies and TuTr Hyperloop signifies a significant stride towards sustainable and efficient transportation infrastructure in India. As these pioneering companies join forces, they are poised to redefine the future of mobility, fostering economic growth and environmental sustainability.
