Barcelona, Spain (Urban Transport News): Silence Urban Mobility, a leading European urban mobility OEM, has entered into a commercial agreement with IRP Systems, a prominent provider of advanced electric powertrain solutions for e-mobility. Under this agreement, IRP will supply Silence with its advanced Dynamic 6 motor controllers for a range of e-mobility platforms.
IRP's motor controllers underwent rigorous testing, validation, and homologation processes to meet Silence's high standards for quality and safety, including compliance with ISO26262 standards. These controllers will be integrated into Silence's electric vehicles to enhance their quality, durability, safety, and performance, offering a unique driving experience.
Eduardo Quesada, R&D Director at Silence, expressed the close collaboration between Silence and IRP over the past three years, resulting in the development of new motor controllers that meet the highest safety and quality standards. These controllers are now being introduced into Silence's range of four-wheel vehicles.
IRP Systems CEO, Moran Price, highlighted the pride in partnering with Silence, Europe's top e-mobility provider. He believes that their collaboration will lead to the creation of electric vehicles that will help Silence maintain and strengthen its leadership in the market.
IRP Systems is known for its innovative high-performance e-powertrain systems, offering a wide range of products for various e-mobility platforms. Their technology focuses on control algorithms and powertrain design, aiming to achieve exceptional efficiency and performance while remaining cost-effective.
Silence, on the other hand, is an electric vehicle manufacturer owned by ACCIONA. The company specializes in developing zero-emission motorcycles and cars with interchangeable batteries. In 2022, Silence was the European leader in electric motorcycle sales for the fourth consecutive year, with a 22.7% market share. They are also planning to launch the S04, a small two-seater urban electric car with interchangeable batteries in the near future.
