This acquisition underscores SATEBA's commitment to expanding its presence and enhancing its offerings in the rail infrastructure sector.
The concrete sleeper business being acquired from De Bonte Group boasts significant credentials, with sales reaching 42 million euros in 2022 and production exceeding 500,000 sleepers in 2023 across four sites - two in Belgium and two in France. With over 25 years of experience in railway sleepers and infrastructure, De Bonte Group brings valuable expertise to the table.
SATEBA's acquisition will see the incorporation of two additional sites in France (Montataire and Vers-Pont-du-Gard) and two in Belgium (Laakdal and Baudour), supplementing its existing sites in Chalon-sur-Saône, La Riche, and Charmes. This expansion not only enhances SATEBA's geographical coverage but also augments its capacity to serve its clientele more effectively.
Benoit Cattin-Martel, CEO of SATEBA, highlights the significance of this acquisition in reinforcing the company's position as a leader in sustainable rail infrastructure. He emphasizes SATEBA's commitment to innovation and reducing the environmental impact of its products, aligning with the growing demand for eco-friendly solutions in the rail industry. He expresses confidence in SATEBA's ability to maintain excellence in production while recognizing De Bonte's continued contribution to the sustainable concrete sector.
As SATEBA continues to expand its footprint and solidify its position as a leader in rail infrastructure, this acquisition marks another milestone in its journey towards delivering high-performance, eco-friendly solutions to its customers. With a clear vision and unwavering commitment to excellence, SATEBA is poised to shape the future of sustainable rail infrastructure in France and beyond.
