Noida Metro plans to keep fares less than Delhi Metro on Aqua Line

Noida/Urban Transport News: The metro train is about to commence soon on the Noida-Greater Noida Metro corridor of the Noida Metro Rail Corporation (NMRC). It is expected that in the month of November, the metro will start running for the public. In some cases, Noida-Greater Noida Metro is going to be special too. According to NMRC officials, fares of Noida-Greater Noida metro will be less than Delhi Metro. Currently, metro from Noida Sector-71 to Greater Noida Depot is proposed to be operated on the Aqua line corridor.

According to sources, Noida Metro Rail Corporation (NMRC) will operate the Metro on this route. However, Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) will assist to operate the metro services for the first five years. Noida Metro Rail Corporation has decided to keep fares lesser than Delhi Metro for metro services. Smart card facility will be available Noida Metro Rail Corporation (NMRC) is evaluating the fare chart of both Delhi Metro and Lucknow Metro and planning to decide appropriate fare soon. NMRC will also provide smart card facility to the people and they have a tie-up with a bank for this.

The Noida Metro smart card and token cannot be used in the Delhi Metro network. On the Noida-Greater Noida Line, a new facility will be offered in the line of Kolkata and Mumbai Local. According to officials of Noida Metro Rail Corporation (NMRC), some trains will be stopped at selected stations at pick hours. NMRC has prepared its plan, although this plan is only on paper, the final decision will be taken before the operation. The route length of from Noida-Greater Noida Aqua Line corridor is 29.7 kilometers. It consists of 21 metro stations. It is obvious that if the metro stops at every station, the passengers will have to spend more time.

According to the plan, in the beginning, such trains will run every 12 minutes, but it will be reduced to 8 to 10 minutes according to the requirement. At the same time, some trains will not stop at some stations in the peak hour, which will save the time of travelers.
