NCC bags three civil contracts worth  ₹2,167 crores for Bangalore Metro Phase 2

Chennai, India (Urban Transport News): Bangalore Metro Rail Limited (CMRL) has issued three contract orders totalling to Rs 2,167 crores to NCC Limited for the constructions of three elevated stretched of Phase 2 corridors of Bangalore Metro Rail Project. 

Contract Package 1 [Phase 2B/P2/69(a)]

Order Value: Rs 739.04 crores

Strech Length: 11.003 km

Scope of Work: Construction of elevated structure (viduct & stations) of length 11.003 km (including 281.000m of viaduct beyond Phase 2A) from Chainage 0.000 m to 10072.000m and eight elevated metro stations viz. Kasturi Nagar, Horamavu, HRBR Layout, Kalyan Nagar, HBR Layout, Nagawara, Veerannapalya and Kempapura, including 650.00m link line connectivity to Baiyappanahalli, road widening, utility diversion and allied works of Bengaluru Metro Rail Project Phase-2B.

Contract Package 2 [Phase 2B/P2/69(b)]

Order Value: Rs 747.99 crores

Strech Length: 11.678 km

Scope of Work: Construction of elevated structures (viduct & stations) of length 11.678 km from chainage 10072.00m to 21500.000m and five elevated metro stations viz. Hebal, Kodigehalli, Jakkur Cross, Yelahanka and Bagalur Cross, including 250m pocket track, road widening, utility diversion and allied works of Bengaluru Metro Rail Project Phase-2B.

Contract Package 3 [Phase 2B/P2/69(c)]

Order Value: Rs 680.21 crores

Strech Length: 15.011 km

Scope of Work: Construction of elevated structures (viaduct & stations) of length 15.011 km from chainage 21500.000m to 36511.000m and two elevated metro stations viz. Bettahalasuru and Doddajala, including road widening utility diversion and allied works of Bengaluru Metro Rail Project Phase-2B. This length include approx 718.18m cut & cover portion in front of Yelahanka Air Force Station. 

NCC has to complete the above works in 24-27 months from the date of issuance of Letter of Acceptance (LoA).

Tender notices for the above contract packages were issued in July 2020 by BMRCL. Technical bids were opened in June 2021 and financial bids were opened in Sepetember 2021.

The 37 km Airport Line (Blue Line) of Bangalore Metro Rail Project will connect Kempegowda International Airport (KIA) to KR Puram.
