Bengaluru, India (Urban Transport News): The Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) has awarded a contract worth Rs 171.56 crores to a consortium of Jakson Limited and JSC PT for electrical & mechanical works at 32 under construction stations of Phase 2 of Bangalore Metro Rail project on 7th January 2021.
Tender for the E&M contract package (BMRCL/Phase-II/E&M-3) was invited in 2019 with an estimated cost of Rs 175 crores. The Jakson-JSC PT emerged as the lowest bidder as it had quoted Rs 171,56,73,151.23 against the BMRC's estimate.
The scope of work includes Electrical and Mechanical (E&M) works comprising of L.T Panels, L.T Cable distribution, Lighting, Hydraulics, fire safety systems, UPS, DG sets, HVAC & BMS for 32 Nos of elevated stations at Reach-1 Extension, Reach-3 Extension and Reach-5 new line for phase-2 of Bangalore Metro Rail Project.
