Chandigarh, India (Urban Transport News): The Haryana Rail Infrastructure Development Corporation Ltd (HRIDC) on 28th September 2020 revaeled that they have received request for expression of interest (REOI) from a total of 14 bidders for providing General Consultany services for 121.742 km proposed Haryana Orbital Rail project.
HRIDC has opened technical bids of tender notice no. HORC/GC/2020/01 issued in July 2020 for the selection of General Consultants (GC) for the proposed Orbit Rail Corridor between Palwal and Sonipat via Sohna, Manesar and Kharkhoda in the State of Haryana. The following 14 firms have submitted thier bids (REOI) in the tendering process:
Out of the above, top six consultants will get shortlisted based on the maximum score gained in their respective EOIs. Following that, a General Consultant (GC) will be selected based on the Quality-Cost Based Selection (QCBS) method.
The objective of this contract is to provide General Consultancy Services for successful planning, basic & detailed designs, preparation of specifications, preparation of proposal documents and tender assistance, checking designs, project management and supervision including construction supervision, safety, quality and environmental management, interface management, testing and commissioning of the Haryana Orbital Rail Corridor. The planning shall include O&M phase as well.
The proposed Rs 5,617 crore semi-high speed Orbital Rail Corridor connect Palwal to Sonipat within Haryana through 17 stations along the Kundli – Manesar – Palwal (KMP) Expressway. The project will be financed by the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB). For which AIIB had approved a loan concept to provide $400 million financial assistance for development of this project.
