Four Indian firms bid for track works contract of Mumbai-Ahmedabad Bullet Train Project

New Delhi, India (Urban Transport News): The National High Speed Rail Corporation Limited (NHSRCL) has recently opened technical bids for track work contract (package MAHSR T-2) of Mumbai-Ahmedabad High Speed Bullet Train Project. NHSRCL on August 24, 2021 informed that a total of four major Indian firms have submitted their bids in response to tender notice issued in January 2021.

Scope of Work

Design, Supply and Construction of Track and Track related Works including Testing and Commissioning on Design-Build Lump Sum Price basis for Double Line High Speed Railway between Zaroli Village at Maharashtra-Gujarat Border (MAHSR Km. 156.600) and Vadodara (MAHSR Km. 393.700) in the State of Gujarat and the Union Territory of Dadra and Nagar Haveli for the Project for Construction of Mumbai Ahmedabad High Speed Rail Corridor.

• IRCON International Limited
• NCC - Rahee Infratech JV
• Afcons Infra - Texmaco JV

Tender for the above contract package was invited in January 2021 with the estimated completion of work deadline of 7.5 years (2738 days). Now, bids have been send for technical evaluation and once the evaluation completed, NHSRCL will open the financial bids to announce the name of winner (lowest bidder) of the contract.

On August 24, 2021 NHSRCL has issued tender notice for track work contract package T-3 for Design, Supply and Construction of Track and Track related Works including Testing and Commissioning on Design-Build Lump Sum Price basis for Double Line High Speed Railway between Vadodara (MAHSR Km. 393.700) and Sabarmati Depot and Workshop (MAHSR Km. 509.875) in the State of Gujarat for the Project for Construction of Mumbai-Ahmedabad High Speed Rail. 

Now tender for track work contract package T-1 for Design, Supply & Construction of Track & Track related works between HSR station at BKC/Mumbai and Zaroli Village on Maharashtra/Gujarat border (156.855 km) is pending.
