Patna, India (Urban Transport News): Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) on 21st September 2020 has issued the first tender notice for the construction of about 8-km long underground stretch of Corridor 2 of the Patna Metro Rail project (Phase 1).
[Package PC-03]: Design and Construction of Twin Tunnel by Shield TBM, Tunnel by Cut & Cover, Underground Ramp at Rajendra Nagar and 6 Underground metro stations viz. Rajendra Nagar, Moin Ul Haq Stadium, University, PMCH, Gandhi Maidan & Akashvani with Entry/Exits & Connecting subway including Architectural Finishing, Water Supply, Sanitary Installation and Drainage works on New ISBT to Patna Station of Corridor-2 of Phase-I of Patna Metro Rail Project.

The first contract package (PC-01) worth Rs 552.93 crore of the Patna Metro Rail Project is awarded to NCC Limited on 18th September 2020 and the second contract package (PC-02) worth Rs 143.35 crore is awarded to Quality Buildcon Pvt. Ltd.
This is the third contract package and the fourth contract package (PC-04) is already floated on 21st September 2020.
The 14.05 km long corridor 2 of Patna Metro will connect Patna Junction Railway Station and New ISBT through 12 stations.
