New Delhi, India (Urban Transport News): Noida Metro Rail Corporation Limited (DMRC) appointed Delhi Metro Rail Corporation Limited (DMRC) to provide general consultancy services for Phase 2 of Noida - Greater Noida Project. In this regard, a Memorandum of Undertaking (MoU) was signed today in New Delhi.
"Delhi Metro Rail Corporate Limited today signed an agreement with Noida Metro Rail Corporation Limited, under which DMRC will provide services to NMRC as General Consultants/Project Management Consultants for its Phase - 2 project from Noida Sector 51 to Greater Noida Sector 2," said DMRC via its Twitter handle.
After cancelling the last tender notice, NMRC on 28th November 2020 re-invited tender for the construction of an elevated corridor under the extension plan of 29.7 km Noida-Greater Noida Aqua Line in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh.
Scope of Work
Contract NGNC-01: Part Design and Construction of Elevated Viaduct and 5 elevated stations viz NOIDA SEC -122, NOIDA SEC-123 GR. NOIDA SEC-4 ECOTECH-12 GR NOIDA SEC-2 (excluding Architectural finishing Works and PEB works of stations) from Chainage 0.00 m to Chainage 9605 m of Noida -Greater Noida Metro Rail Project.
Key Information
This tender was originally published in May 2020 and cancelled in July 2020 due to the non-receipt of sufficient bids. However, in the revised tender notice NMRC has also increased the estimated value of work from Rs 430.69 crore to Rs 491.99 crore and the completion period from 20 months to 24 months. This tender was again cancelled in last month due to no sufficient response received from the civil contractors.
