Delhi Metro invites tender for procurement of electric feeder buses

New Delhi (Urban Transport News): In order to facilitate the metro commuters for last mile connectivity, Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) intends to provide feeder services under North cluster by way of running Air Conditioned Electric buses. In this regard. DMRC is inviting online bids from the eligible bidders for procurement of 97 battery operated air conditioned electric buses. Name of Work: Provision of Feeder Services under North Cluster for last mile connectivity with procurement, operation and maintenance of 16-22 seater Air Conditioned Electric (Battery Operated) Buses. Key Details: The key details are as follows: -

• Approximate Cost of work: Rs.603.89 Crores
• Earnest Money Deposit Amount of Tender Security: Rs.50 Lakh
• Period of work: 10 Years from commencement date of services
• Tender Document on sale: From 30.05.2019 to 03.07.2019 (up to 15:00 hrs)
• Cost of Tender Documents: (Non-Refundable) Rs.23,600/-
• Pre-bid Meeting: 11.06.2019 at 11:00 Hrs
• Tender submission start date: 21.06.2019 from 11:00 Hrs
• Tender submission end date: 03.07.2019 up to 15:00 Hrs
• Date & Time of opening of Tender (Technical Bid): 04.07.2019 at 15:00 Hrs.

After awarding the work, the bidder will be responsible to;

• procure, operate & maintain 97 Air-Conditioned Electric Buses
• procure, install, commission, operate & maintain battery charging Infrastructure for the aforesaid 97 Air-Conditioned Battery Operated Buses in the depot
• develop bus depot infrastructure for repair and maintenance of buses on land/plot provided by DMRC at Majlis Park & Kohat Enclave.
• procure, install, commission, operate& maintain auto bus washing/ cleaning plant and requisite tools, equipment, machinery for repair and maintenance of buses in depot provided by DMRC at Majlis Park & Kohat Enclave as per layout plan.
