Chennai, India (Urban Transport News): Chennai Metro Rail Limited (CMRL) on November 26, 2021 launched a global tender notice for ten elevated Metro Station of Corridor 3 of Chennai Metro Rail Project, Phase 2.

Scope of Work

Design and constrution of elevated viaduct approximate length 10 km including elevated ramp and ten elevated metro stations at at Nehru Nagar, Kandanchavadi, Perungudi, Thoraipakkam, Mettukuppam, PTC Colony, Okkiyampet, Karapakkam, Okkiiyam Thoraipakkam & Sholinganallur for Corridor 3 of Chennai Metro's Phase 2.

The 45.81 km Corridor 3 of Chennai Metro will span from Madhavaram Milk Colony to Siruseri SIPCOT 2. The line will consist of 48 metro stations, out of which 29 are underground and rest 19 are elevated.
