Call for Editorials for Urban Transport Infrastructure Magazine

The Urban Transport News is actively engaged in the dissemination of news and insights about the importance of urban transport by publishing online news portal www.urbantransportnews.com, magazine, newsletters, co-organizing conferences, workshops, and training programs. The Urban Transport News publishes “Urban Transport Infrastructure” Magazine bi-monthly. Editorials are invited focusing on the following:-

1. Transport Planning and Mobility – Transport Plans (CTTS, CMP’s etc.), mobility patterns and issues, integrated land use – transport planning, travel behaviour, transport modelling, planning for parking facilities, mobility of physical challenged etc.

2. Public Transport – Planning for road and rail based transit systems, (city buses, BRTS, MRTS, LRT, Metro/Mono rails etc.), maritime transport, air transport, cable car, feeder transport systems, para transit systems, interchange, terminals and depots, fare collection systems, public transport productivity issues, etc.

3. Non - Motorised Transport – Role of NMT systems, planning aspects related to pedestrians, cyclists and cycle rickshaw facilities etc.

4. Traffic Engineering, Management and Safety – Road geometrics and capacity, intersection design and capacity, delays, congestion, traffic management, TSM, traffic control and regulation, ITS applications, road safety issues, reforms etc.

5. Transport Economics, financing and Institutional Mechanism – Urban transport economics aspects, urban transport financing methods, congestion pricing, urban transport fund, institutional mechanisms, capacity building, reforms, etc.

6. Transport Policy and Environment – Urban Transport Policy, sustainable issues, environment impacts, etc.

7. Lesson Learned from Developed Cities – Journey Experience, Innovation & Technology etc.

8. Post Conference Notes – Knowledge gained from Industry events, conferences, exhibitions

All the papers received by the institute would be peer reviewed before considering them for publication in the Journal. Authors are requested to send soft copies around 500 - 2,000 words (i.e. about 2-5 pages) and its electronic copy in MS Word, preferably based on some case studies along with a brief abstract and key words before 25 December, 2018.

The articles will be considered for publication in upcoming issues of the Urban Transport Infrastructure Magazine including publication on online news portal .
