Mumbai, India (Urban Transport News): Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) has invited bids from Railway Signalling contractors for supply of Signalling, Train Control and Platform Door Systems for Mumbai Metro 4 and its extension corridor.
According to the tender notification published on the official website of MMRDA, the scope of work includes,
Design, Manufacture, Supply, Installation, Testing, and Commissioning of Signalling and Train Control (S&TC) including Platform Screen Doors (PSD) system for Main Line and Depot of Metro Line 4 and its Extension Corridor (Wadala – Kasarvadavali – Gaimukh) under Mumbai Metro Rail Project.
Tender documents can be downloaded from the e-tendering portal from 05.05.2020 to 23.06.2020.
A pre-bid meeting scheduled on 15th May 2020 at 1100 hrs in the office of Sr. Director (Systems), Metro Project Implementation Unit, MMRDA Building, Plot No. C-14 & 15, Bandra-Kurla Complex (BKC), Bandra (East), Mumbai, Maharashtra - 400051, India.
Construction of 32.32 km long Metro Line 4 (Wadala – Kasarvadavali) is started in April 2018 while construction its 2.7 km long extension line (Metro 4A) between Kasarvadavali – Gaimukh is started in September 2019. The total estimated cost of this project is Rs 15,498 crore. This corridor is also known as 'Green line' according to the proposed color code of the Mumbai Metro Rail Network.
