Afcons Infrastructure wins ₹4,150 crore underground civil contracts for Delhi Metro Phase 4

New Delhi, India (Urban Transport News): The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation Limited (DMRC) today opened the financial bids of three major underground civil contract packages DC-05, DC-07 and DC-08 of Phase 4 of Delhi Metro Rail Project. As per the financial bid results, Afcons Infrastructure Limited emerged as lowest bidder (L1) for package DC-05 & DC-07 while Tata Projects Limited emerged as lowest bidder (L1) for the contract package DC-08.

Contract Package DC-05

Scope of Work: Design & Construction of Twin Tunnel by shield TBM, Tunnel by Cut & Cover, Underground ramp at Derawal Nagar and Six underground stations viz. Derawal Nagar, Ghanta Ghar, Pulbangash, Sadar Bazar, Nabi Karim & Ramakrishna Ashram Marg Including Architectural Finishing, Water supply, Sanitary installation, Drainage works of stations on Janakpuri West to R.K. Ashram Corridor (Line-8 Ext.) of Phase-IV of Delhi Metro Rail Project.

Total Length of Tunnel: 7.46 km (Derawal Nagar - RK Ashram Marg)

Estimated Tender Value: Rs 2,444.83 crores

Contract Package DC-07

Scope of Work: Design and Construction of Underground UP & Down Tunnels by Shield TBM from end of Cut & Cover tunnel near Sangam Vihar metro Station up to existing Sarita Vihar depot, Underground Ramp and Cut & Cover Tunnels near Sangam Vihar and Tughlakabad metro station and Underground Metro Stations at Maa Anandmayee Marg, Tughlakabad Railway Colony and Tughlakabad including Retrieval/Launching shafts on Aerocity Tughlakabad corridor of Delhi Metro Rail Project, Phase IV.

Total Length of Tunnel: 6.981 km (Sangam Vihar - Sarita Vihar Depot)

Contract Package DC-08

Scope of Work: Design and Construction of Twin Tunnel (Up & Down Line) by Shield TBM, Cut and Cover Tunnel box and four Underground stations namely Aerocity, Mahipalpur, Vasant Kunj and Kishangarh with Entry/Exits & Connecting subways from chainage (-) 760 mt. to 5356.285 mt. of Aerocity to Tughlakabad Corridor of Phase-IV of Delhi Metro Rail Project, Phase IV.

Total Length of Tunnel: 6.116 km (Aerocity – Kishangarh)

Now all bids have been sent for evaluation. If everythings Okay then DMRC will issue the Letter of Acceptance (LoA) to lowest bidders.
