New Delhi, India (Urban Transport News): Dr. Manoj Choudhary, Dean (International, Alumni, and Corporate Relations) and Professor, Department of Electrical Engineering, IIT Jodhpur, has been appointed as the first Vice Chancellor for the Gati Shakti University, Vadodara, Gujarat (earlier known as National Rail & Transportation Institute (NRTI). He will hold the position of Vice Chancellor of Gati Shakti University for a period of 5 years, from the date he assumes the office.
He is currently an invitee member of the 6G Task Force in the Department of Telecom, Govt. of India, a Member of the Management Council of the Semiconductor Laboratory in the Ministry of Electronics and IT and holds the post of Director of the Jodhpur DISCOM Board.
"It is an absolute honor and privilege to have the opportunity to be the First Vice Chancellor of the new public Central University, Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya, that focusses on the entire transport sector to support the ambitious growth and modernization in the field," said Dr. Manoj Choudhary.
The University will support and enable the PM Gati Shakti National Master Plan through producing a talented, well-trained and focused cadre for handling the complexities of the transport sector.

Ashwini Vaishnaw, Union Minister for Railways, Communications and Electronics & Information Technology, Government of India has been appointed as the Chancellor of Gati Shakti University, Vadodara. He will be the first Chancellor of Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya, Vadodara, Gujarat.
