Patna, India (Urban Transport News): The consortium of AECOM Singapore Pte Limited and AECOM India Private Limited emerged as the lowest bidder (L1) for the DDC contract of the corridor 1 & 2 of Patna Metro Rail project. Delhi Metro Rail Corporation Limited (DMRC) issued the Letter of Acceptance (LoA) to the joint venture (JV) of AECOM Singapore Pte Limited and AECOM India Private Limited for the contract worth Rs 17.27 crore on February 18, 2020.
The scope of work includes providing detail design consultancy (DDC) services for civil, architectural and building services including electrical and mechanical (E&M) works for Corridor 1 & 2 of the Patna Metro Rail Project (Phase I). According to the contract, the AECOM has to complete the work in 4 years. AECOM Singapore-AECOM India JV emerged the lowest bidder (L1) among the other four bidders who participated in the tender. The tender was floated by DMRC in November last year and the tender value for the detailed design consultant contract was estimated to Rs 29.30 and Rs 27.50 crore for Corridor 1 and Corridor 2 respectively.
Jaipur based firm CEG Group is presently carried out the soil testing work at 10 locations on the route of Patna Metro Rail project. Delhi Metro Rail Corporation has been appointed as General Consultant for the Patna Metro Rail project and given the responsibility to execute the entire phase I project of Patna Metro.
