MPMRC opens technical bids of both Civil Contract Packages of Indore Metro

Indore, India (Urban Transport News): The Madhya Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation Ltd (MPMRC) has recently opened the technical bids of civil contract package IN-02 and IN-03 of Indore Metro Rail Project. Here are the details of bidders as per the data shared by the corporation.

Contract Package IN-02

Scope of Work

Design and Construction of Seven (7) Elevated Metro Rail Stations including Viaduct portion within the stations and Transition spans on either side of the stations, Entry-Exit Structures, Architectural Finishes, E&M Works etc. (ISBT/MR10 Flyover, Chandragupta Square, Hira Nagar, Bapat Square, Meghdoot Garden, Vijay Nagar Square & Radisson Square) of Indore Metro Rail Project.

Estimated Value of Work: Rs 369 crores.

Tender for the contract package IN-02 was invited in February this year.

Contract Package IN-03

Scope of Work

Design and Construction of Elevated Viaduct between Ch.14+488 & Ch.25+415, viaduct connecting Depot leading upto interface location, Nine (9) Elevated Metro Rail Stations including all Civil, Structural, Roof structure, Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) works, Architectural finishes, Façade, Entry/Exits, FOB, Viaduct within the stations including Transition spans” for Indore Metro Rail Project Yellow Line. The names of nine stations are Gandhi Nagar, Super Corridor 6, Super Corridor 5, Super Corridor 4, Super Corridor 3, Super Corridor 2 and Super Corridor 1, Bhawarsala Square and MR 10 Road. 

Estimated Value of Work: Rs 1,000 crores.

Tender for the contract package IN-03 was invited in March this year.

The civil contract package IN-01 with an order value of Rs 228.96 crores was awarded to Dilip Buidcon Limited for construction of 5.29 km stretch/viaducts only between ISBT/MR10 Flyover and Mumtaj Bag Colony in October 2018. The contract was given a 27 months deadline to complete the work but due to some political battles and land acquisition issues there is no much progress seen in the project by Dilip Buildcon Ltd.

A consortium comprising of DB Engineering, Geodata Engineering and Louis Berger is providing General Consultancy services to MPMRC for Indore Metro Rail project.
