Maha Metro to prepare DPR of Warangal MetroNeo project in Telangana

Hyderabad, India (Urban Transport News): After successfully conducting DPR work for Thane and being handed over the MetroNeo project for Nasik, Maharashtra Metro Rail Corporation (MahaMetro) has bagged yet another prestigious project to prepare the detailed project report (DPR) for Warangal MetroNeo in Telangana State.

The length of Electric Bus Coaches will be 25/18 meter and carrying capacity 200/300 passengers. The buses will have rubber-tyre and draw power from the overhead electric wire having 600-750 V DC supply. The buses will take power from overhead electric wire through railway/tram-like system.

Maha Metro has been awarded consultancy for the Warangal MetroNeo project in the State of Telangana. This was announced after a high-power meeting held at Hyderabad by the Government of Telangana, yesterday. Thus Maha Metro’s capability, experience and innovative solution of providing economical, safe, reliable rubber-tyre Metro has been recognised not only within Maharashtra but also in other parts of India.

A presentation was made by the Maha Metro team led by Managing Director Dr. Brijesh Dixit and Director (Project) Mahesh Kumar yesterday in presence of Minister for Municipal Administration & Urban Development KT Rama Rao, local elected representatives, Chief Secretary, Arvind Kumar and other senior bureaucrats of State of Telangana.

Telangana is the first state to recognise Maha Metro expertise in finding cost-effective solution for Metro services.
