Eight firms bid against OHE Electrification contract for Delhi Metro's Line 7 Extn

New Delhi, India (Urban Transport News): The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation Ltd (DMRC) has received a total of eight bids against its tender notice notified for the Over Head Equipment Electrification work for the upcoming corridor under the extension of Line 7 ((Maujpur to Majlispark) of Delhi Metro Phase 4.

The bidders who have submitted their bids against contract package DE-14 are KEC International, Alstom Transport India, Kalpataru Power Transmission Ltd, Texmaco Rail and Engineering, Cimechel Electric, Ojasync Pvt. Ltd., Salasar Techno Engineering and Shyam Indus Power Solutions.

According to tender notification, the scope of work includes  Design, Supply, Installation, Testing and Commissioning of 25 kV Overhead Equipment (OHE), 33 kV Auxiliary Power Supply for an elevated section of Line-7 Ext. (Maujpur to Majlispark) and Augmentation works of Mukundpur depot of Delhi Metro Phase-IV. 

  • Design of 25 kV FOCS System and 33 kV Auxiliary System of Elevated Sections and At Grade for Mukundpur Depot.
  • Supply and Erection of 25 kV Traction Overhead Equipment for Elevated Lines and ‘At-grade’, and Switching Stations.
  • Supply and Erection of 25 kV cables.
  • Supply and Erection of Return Current cables.
  • Supply and erection of Booster Transformers, if required, along the line.
  • Supply and Erection of 33 kV Insulated cables at the viaduct, on the ground, underground (buried) and at other places as detailed in subsequent paragraphs.
  • Supply and Erection of 33 kV / 415 V Auxiliary Transformers and associated Switchgears and Equipment in all ASS’s, in Elevated Stations.
  • The modification works, as required, at already erected installations.
  • Civil works along the line and at switching stations.
  • All Testing, integrated testing and Commissioning of all erected equipment.

Tender for the above system contract package was invited in March this year and technical bids were opened on June 3, 2021. The estimated cost of the work is Rs 79.52 crores.

The civil contract of this line was awarded to Longjian – KEC International JV. A total of eight metro stations will be built on this line at Yamuna Vihar, Bhajanpura, Khajuri Khas, Sonia Vihar, Wazirabad Surghat, Jagatpur Village, Jharoda Majra and Burari. The total length of the extension corridor will be 12.098 km.
