Mumbai, India (Urban Transport News): The Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) on 4th August 2020 issued a tender notice for the construction of Mogharpada Metro Train Depot and supporting infrastructure for feeding trains for coming four metro corridors of Mumbai Metro Rail project.
Construction of Depot Infrastructures comprising Stabling Yard, Operation Control Centre and Administrative building, Maintenance and workshop buildings, Auxiliary substation, Finishing, Plumbing, Earthworks for land development, Compound wall, Road, Approach Bridge, elevated viaduct inside and outside connecting to first-floor stabling and underground utility ductworks Drainage, Rain Water Harvesting, etc. complete [including Architectural Finishing works and excluding Pre-Engineered Structure Works] for Car Depot at Mogharpada for Metro Lines- 4, 4A, 10 & 11 corridor of Mumbai Metro Rail Project of MMRDA.
A Pre-bid Meeting is scheduled on 18th August 2020 at 1500 hrs through online video conferencing. The Mogharpada Metro Car depot will be built in a total of 41-hectare land area. This depot comprises of a double-decker stabling shed to stable and maintain a total of 39 (6-coach) metro trains initially for 35.2 km under construction Metro Line 4 & 4A of Mumbai Metro Rail project which will connect Wadala – Vikhroli – Kasaravadavali – Gaimukh through 34 stations. The Mogharpada Metro Car depot will be the largest metro depot of the Mumbai Metro Rail project as this depot will also feed more trains for Mumbai Metro Line-10 & Line-11 in the future.
