Mumbai, India (Urban Transport News): The Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority (MMRDA) invites bids from the eligible and experienced civil contractors for part design and construction of balance work of Mumbai Metro Line 7 in two packages due to termination of contract from Simplex Infrastructure Limited.
The scope of work includes part design and construction of balance works of package-1, line-7 elevated viaduct (excluding stations & station viaduct, Architectural finishing & Pre-engineered steel roof structure of station) from chainage Ch. (-) 525.903m [Pier P1E] to Ch. (+) 5801.297m [Pier P278] Andheri (East) – Dahisar (East) corridor of Mumbai Metro Rail Project of MMRDA.
The scope of work includes part design and construction of balance works of 4 elevated stations of package-1, line-7 viz; Andheri Metro (East), Shankarwadi, JVLR Junction, Mahanand including viaduct of stations (excluding Architectural finishing & Pre-engineered steel roof structure of station) Andheri (East) – Dahisar (East) corridor of Mumbai Metro Rail Project of MMRDA.
Bids documents can be downloaded from 30th January 2020 to 17th February 2020 at MMRDA's e-tending portal https://etendermmrda.maharashtra.gov.in. The last date to submit online bids is 18th February 2020 till 1400 hours. Pre-bid meeting fixed on 5th February 2020 at MMRDA, 4th Floor, New Administrative Building, MMRDA, BKC, Bandra (E), Mumbai 400051, Maharashtra, India.
Recently MMRDA has terminated a contract worth Rs 348 crores awarded to Simplex Infrastructure Limited for the design and construction of the Andheri - Goregaon section of the Metro Line 7 (Andheri East - Dahisar East) of Mumbai Metro Rail project citing poor performance and delay in execution of work against the given deadline. The Rs 6,208 crore project of Mumbai Metro 7 is split into three packages. The contract for Package 2 and Package 3 was awarded to J Kumar Infraprojects and NCC Limited respectively.
