Chennai, India (Urban Transport News): Chennai Metro Rail Limited (CMRL) has received a total of three bids in each package against its two package civil tenders for the construction of a 16 km long elevated stretch for Corridor - 4 (Light House – Poonamallee Bypass) of the Chennai Metro Rail project.
The following construction firms/consortiums have submitted their bids against the contract package C4-ECV-01 & C4-ECV-02:
The tenders were invited in July/August 2020 and technical bids were opened on 20th October 2020 and 10th November 2020 for Package C4-ECV-01 and Package C4-ECV-02 respectively. Financial bids for both packages will be opened soon after evaluating the technical bids by the CMRL.
The 26.1 km corridor - 4 is part of the 118.9 km Phase 2 of the Chennai Metro Rail project which will connect Light House to Poonamallee Bus Depot through 31 metro stations.
